Estimate your Edmonton move
Answer six quick questions to see the crew, truck, hours and price range a move like yours usually takes. The estimate updates as you go.
How this estimate works
It starts from the usual hours for the size of the home, then adds time for the things that slow a move down. These are general rules of thumb, not a quote.
| Home | Movers | Truck | Starting hours |
|---|---|---|---|
| Studio | 2 | 15 ft truck | 2 to 3 |
| 1 bedroom | 2 | 15 ft truck | 3 to 4 |
| 2 bedrooms | 3 | 20 ft truck | 4 to 6 |
| 3 bedrooms | 3 | 26 ft truck | 6 to 8 |
| 4+ bedrooms | 4 | 26 ft truck | 8 to 11 |
| Office (small) | 3 | 20 ft truck | 4 to 6 |
- Stairs add about 30 minutes per flight at each end, a little more for bigger homes and a little less for small ones.
- An elevator adds about 15 minutes per end for the wait and the trips down the hallway.
- Kitchen and fragile packing adds 1 to 2 hours. Full packing adds 40 to 60 percent to the starting hours.
- The drive adds 30 minutes in the same neighbourhood, 1 hour across Edmonton and 1.5 hours to a nearby town.
- Each heavy item adds about 30 minutes.
- Both ends of the range are rounded to the nearest half hour.
