How many moving boxes do you need?
Pick your home size and how full it is. You get a count for each box size, plus tape and packing paper, ready to print.
Packing tips
- 1 Heavy things go in small boxes and light things in large ones. A large box of books is too heavy to carry safely.
- 2 Fill every box to the top. Half-empty boxes crush when they are stacked, so fill the gaps with towels or paper.
- 3 Write the room and a few words about what is inside on two sides of each box, not just the top.
- 4 Tape the bottom of every box with two strips across the seam, and the top the same way.
- 5 Wrap plates one at a time and stand them on edge in a dish pack. They are stronger that way than lying flat.
- 6 Pack a first-night box with bedding, towels, a kettle, chargers, medication and toilet paper, and keep it with you.
